Satyam Srirangam, speaking on this occasion, said that Gandhi was a great freedom fighter born in a common family and loved by all Indians and people respect him as the father of the nation.  The great Mahatma Gandhi, who uprooted the British imperialism with his thumb nails and broke the chains of slavery of Mother India and filled the hearts of millions of Indians with freedom, preached the principles of peace and non-violence to the country and gave the message that only they can keep them comfortable, happy and stable and influenced the history of many emerging countries, national unity, religious harmony.  , Equality, abolition of untouchability, women's emancipation, prohibition of alcohol, new education system, poverty eradication, economic self-reliance, village swaraj, peaceful co-existence are his idealogy, he said that despite his many services and sacrifices, he remained in history as a public figure without aspiring for any political positions.
