In a significant development, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has initiated a thorough search operation at the residence of Marriguda Tehsildar Manchireddy Mahender Reddy. These raids come in response to allegations of the Tehsildar possessing assets exceeding his known sources of income. The search operation began early in the morning and is expected to continue until midnight.

ACB officials, armed with search warrants, launched coordinated raids on Tehsildar Mahender Reddy's residence, situated in Sainagar Colony, Hastinapuram. The operations have already yielded substantial findings. Notably, the investigators discovered large bundles of currency notes, amounting to a staggering Rs 2 crore, concealed within a trunk at Mahender Reddy's house. Furthermore, several documents related to immovable properties and a significant quantity of gold were also seized during the operation.

In addition to searching the Marriguda Tehsildar's primary residence, ACB officials are simultaneously conducting searches at 15 different locations associated with Mahender Reddy, including his hometown, Eliminedu, in Ibrahimpatnam mandal. The probe also extends to the residences of his relatives, underlining the scope of the investigation.

Manchireddy Mahender Reddy, who previously served as the Tahsildar of Kandukuru Mandal, has come under scrutiny following allegations of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income. ACB officials are acting on these serious allegations, driven by the need to uphold transparency and integrity in public office.

Upon reaching Mahender Reddy's residence in Hastinapuram at approximately 8 a.m., ACB officials initiated their investigation by interrogating the Tehsildar. The operation quickly led to the discovery of a substantial amount of cash hidden within the premises. In total, more than two crores of rupees were found in a trunk box, accompanied by additional bundles of currency notes. The authorities also confiscated a significant amount of gold.

The ACB officials, in their assessment of Mahender Reddy's assets, uncovered substantial wealth that warranted further investigation. The search operation is currently ongoing and is expected to continue until midnight.
