Telangana government fell into trap of central government

Atlast Telangana government fell into trap of central government as it decided to observe September 17 th merger of Nizam’s  rule into independent  India as  Telangana National Integration Day accepting MIM party’s appeal to observe same as union government decided observe Sept 17 th as Telangana Liberation Day.It may be recalled that Telangana Rashtra Samithi( TRS) during struggle for seperate state has told the people that it will observe September 17 th as merger of Nizam state into India but somehow due to reasons best known to it and TS govt changed the stand and confined just with formal programme. Central government decided  to observe  Sept 17 th merger of Hyderabad state into Indian government as Telangana Liberation Day officially all over Telangana state during Azadi Ka Amrit Mahosthav as BJP has been demanding since years to observe it as Liberation Day.Incidentally  ,as it is official programme, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is attending it and invited TS CM K C Rao too. It looks Telangana government is on defence side as elections to state are not far away and decided to celebrate with a different name and wants to compete with central government to organise it for vote bank politics.

Whether it is a liberation or merger, the fact is that people of greater Telangana comprising Telangana, few districts of Karnataka and Maharashtra were free from the clutches of Nizam’ rule supported by dreaded and blood suckers razakars who killed many people, atrocities on women and damage to many historic temples and idols which are still seen in many temples in Telangana. In the parkal of Warangal district of Telangana  many killed in cold blood by razajakars. It was a psunami of violence , bloodshed and atrocities which are still remembered by many old people affected by razakars still alive and my relatives too victims of violence by razakars and recollect horrible behaviour by them.Infact celebrating Telangana Liberation Day is not against any one or party but like independence day on 15 th August 1947 of the country ,freedom to Telangana on 17 th September 1948  from Nizam and razakars is celebrated. One is freedom from British rule and another from Nizam and razakars rule.

As the history reveals ,Nizam of Hyderabad did not join   Indian government voluntarily but with army action instructed by Sardar Vallabhai Patel and as there was no way Nizam surrendered to Indian government thus it can be called a Liberation Day. Anything with force is called liberation like liberation of Bangladesh for example.Had Nizam of Hyderabad state, Mir Osman Ali Khan, decided  voluntarily  to join Indian government without the intervention of the then Home Minister Sardar Patel with army ,it can be called merger but not liberation. Just to avoid displeasing some  it looks Telangana govt has been indifferent to celebration. Whatever it may be ,a new chapter in Telangana as state govt recognising officially September 17 th with a different name though meaning is same. I feel its an election miracle by state govt trapped by central govt.
