In a grim and disturbing incident reminiscent of the tragic Disha case, the tranquility of Sai Enclave in Shamshabad was shattered as an unidentified woman, aged approximately 35-36, fell victim to a brutal murder and subsequent immolation. The assailants, yet to be identified, poured petrol over her body before setting her on fire. Residents, discovering the horrific scene, promptly alerted the authorities, initiating a comprehensive investigation.

The lifeless remains of the woman were carefully transported from the site in Shamshabad to the Osmania Mortuary, where a postmortem examination is scheduled to uncover the harrowing details of her final moments. Despite the efforts of the authorities, the identity of the victim remains elusive. Law enforcement officials, aided by K-9 units and specialized clue teams, meticulously collected potential evidence, including a matchbox found near the site.

Responding swiftly to the disturbing incident, the Shamshabad Airport Police have opened a case and launched a thorough investigation, exploring various leads and possible angles. The investigation will delve into the possibility of premeditated murder followed by the horrendous act of immolation. Additionally, authorities are examining the potential of sexual assault and other motives that might have led to this tragic event. Presently, two individuals are in custody, undergoing intense interrogation in connection to the crime.

Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, the Shamshabad Police have formed four distinct investigative teams to delve into the intricacies of the case, ensuring no stone is left unturned in the pursuit of justice. The case not only grips the local community with a sense of dread but also evokes the haunting memory of the Disha case, a horrific incident that jolted the nation's conscience.

Providing insights into the ongoing investigation, ACP Ramachandra Rao from Shamshabad revealed that the victim has been identified woman and more details are awaited, and the authorities are working to establish whether the crime occurred at the site or if the victim's body was transported there postmortem. Preliminary scrutiny of CCTV footage indicates the victim was brought to the scene on a two-wheeler, prompting intensive efforts to trace the vehicle and identify its owner.
